The Young Entrepreneurs of the Universe (YEU) Veteran Initiatives, "Veterans Raising Capital Forum - Windows of Innovation, Options and Opportunities", originally scheduled for Friday, June 24, 2011 in Chicago,was postponed due to an overwhelming response of veterans, primarily service disabled veterans, National Guards and military reservist members, with twenty registrations needing wheelchair accessibility, while there was not enough volunteer staff to help with required logistics.

In addition, a number of big gun presenters with information, (some coming from out of town), sure to provide ammo to motivate most start-up entrepreneurs into high gear with tools and resources in tow to develop a winning business plan that will at least create a new job opportunity for themselves.

Existing businesses, especially service disabled veteran owned businesses (SDVOSB) or veterans with entrepreneurial and/or business experience, with tools, resources, teaming and other strategies along with financial options to allow them to further develop their plans to go after $250,000.00 to multi-million dollar contracts up to multiples of $3 - 5 million dollars creating full, part-time, seasonal and work from home jobs for other veterans, service disabled veterans with limited mobility, amputees, TBI, PTSD and Homeless Veterans, National Guards and military reservists including women and minorities.

Money Smart Week 2011 in Chicago to host two (2) Veteran events on Tuesday April 5th.
the Young Entrepreneurs of the Universe (YEU) Veteran Initiatives will host two (2) events, Tuesday, April 5, 2011, one in the morning and one in the evening, to help primarily veterans and military consumers learn to manage money wisely. This event is one of more than 500 free classes, seminars and activities promoting financial education that will take place during Money Smart Week Chicago.

Inside the morning Expo at Jesse Brown VA Medical Center will be VA Benefits, jobs, business opportunities, resources, speakers, government agencies, foreclosure help, training, education, housing, grants, a mini mobile STAND DOWN station, grants and awards, etc. Start your success story in the morning from 8am - 1pm.

Inside the Carter G. Woodson, Chicago Public Library in the evening from 6:30pm - 8:30pm. Get a "Basic Blue Print for Developing Your Own Financial Emergency Plan." Learn about VA Benefits, resources and services for veterans making important financial decisions.

"Money Smart Week celebrates its tenth anniversary. Coordinated by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and its Money Smart Partners, Money Smart Week is designed to educate consumers about money management and create awareness of financial education programs on a wide range of topics such as budgeting, saving and using credit wisely.

The educational activities will be carried out by more than 250 local community groups, businesses, schools, and non-profit organizations.
